Psychological and Somatic Therapy for Adults and Children
In-person in Whaley Bridge · Online Sessions Available
Is This You or Your Child?
You’re struggling with anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, or burnout
Your child is finding it difficult to manage emotions, behaviour, or challenges at school
You feel disconnected from your body, constantly in your head, or unable to relax
You’re recovering from trauma, illness, or injury and want a safe, embodied way forward
You want to move from survival to thriving - with tools that actually work for your life
If this sounds familiar, I’m here to support you.
My Specialism
I specialise in somatic trauma therapy - a body-oriented approach that supports the nervous system, restores regulation, and helps process trauma from the inside out. Alongside traditional psychological methods, I integrate yoga, movement, mindfulness, and menstrual cycle awareness to meet your needs holistically.
Whether you or your child are experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, shutdown, emotional dysregulation, or symptoms of PTSD, I offer personalised, compassionate care that works with the whole person - not just the mind.
“Another kind of happiness exists... It comes from the sense of connectedness that happens when all your parts love one another and trust and feel accepted by your Self.”
My Approach
I’m a registered psychologist specialising in a somatic approach to therapy, who works with adults, children, families and schools. I can help you or your child if you are experiencing anxiety and stress, or fear, anger, shutdown or PTSD as a result of trauma.
I provide sessions for adults and children both in person in Whaley Bridge and online. I specialise in the integration of mind-body therapies, psychology and yoga. My teaching and coaching is grounded in science and trauma- informed practice, taking individuals from stress and anxiety to positive mental and physical wellness, and helping adults to look at the emotional wounds from childhood, in a safe and therapeutic space.
I can help you to reclaim your power and move on from the past, creating a sense of wellbeing and self-care rituals through a bespoke approach including somatic therapy, psychology, menstrual cycle awareness, mindfulness and yoga.
With over a decade of experience in developmental trauma and mental health, I offer a unique therapeutic approach that honours the connection between mind and body. My sessions are rooted in:
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
The Hakomi Method
Applied Polyvagal Theory
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
What This Looks Like in Practice
Targeted somatic movement and embodied meditation to support nervous system regulation, improve body awareness, and release stored tension
Hands-off myofascial release techniques and guided body scans to increase interoception and reconnect with areas of numbness, tightness, or emotional holding
Multiple conscious movement modalities including Yoga, Myofascial Release, Somatics, and Embodied Meditation to assist your body-mind in returning to organic patterns of moving, breathing, and being.
Structured internal inquiry practices, such as parts work (IFS) and felt-sense tracking, to help explore inner experiences safely and with curiosity
Integrative psychological support, including solution-focused approaches and trauma-informed dialogue, adapted in real time to your emotional and physical state
Each session is bespoke, based on your needs, your goals, and how you’re feeling on the day. We begin with an initial consultation to explore your story and co-create a plan for your wellbeing.
Why This Work Matters
Trauma isn’t just what happened - it’s what happens inside us as a result. The patterns of protection, constriction, or over-adaptation that once helped us survive can become barriers to feeling safe, joyful, and present. When we work through the body, we begin to unwind those patterns - not just intellectually, but physiologically.
Yoga, somatics, and embodied practices are now supported by a growing body of research showing their powerful impact on emotional and physical health. Whether you’re caregiving, working in a high-demand role, or simply feeling depleted by life’s demands, your body holds the key to coming back into balance.
I can help you to move through trauma recovery so that you can live the life you truly want and deserve. If you know you struggle to take action to really make a difference to your own health and wellbeing, then we can work together to come up with a plan.
Working Together
If you’re ready to begin your healing journey—whether individually or for your child—I offer a calm, grounded space to explore what’s holding you back and create new ways of being.
1:1 sessions may benefit you if:
You experience chronic pain or fatigue
You feel disconnected or disembodied
You’re navigating trauma, grief, or emotional wounds
You want a personalised practice to support healing and wellbeing
You’re seeking support that is gentle, effective, and rooted in both science and soul
Holistic wellbeing is at the core of everything I offer to those who are ready to commit and make the change.
I have years of training in different areas including somatic therapy, as an intuitive life coach, a registered psychologist and a therapeutic specialist yoga teacher.
Here’s some common questions or what might be on your mind. Accessing therapy is a commitment and it is important to understand what is expected in order to be able to make an informed decision about whether what I offer fits your current needs and circumstances.
What can I expect from working with you
At the initial no charge call you will get to ask any questions you want and we will talk about possible options for private sessions.
I will complete an initial assessment within any package that you opt for.
I offer a body-based therapeutic approach which can also include talking therapy and coaching, and sessions may include (this is individualised).
During sessions you can expect techniques to sense and regulate your body and state of being. This includes building more internal and external resources, building trusting relationships, learning to turn inward with compassion, being invited deeper into the body, and given time and space to process trauma.
Session duration and frequency
Sessions usually last 50-60 minutes and take place on a weekly basis. There may be occasions when a longer session is required, this is not compulsory, but it is recommended and will be discussed and agreed with you in advance.
I recommend weekly sessions to gain the most from therapy. However, there may be occasions when clients want to access sessions less frequently. While I can offer flexibility, there are instances where having sessions less than once weekly may not be recommended therapeutically. We will discuss this in advance and agree on a suitable package of therapy to best suit your needs. I currently offer sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
You will be asked to read a therapy agreement with terms and conditions and sign this document during or before our first session.
How long do I need to commit for and how often?
I usually recommend an initial commitment between us of 3 months minimum, so we can build a good relationship, strong foundations and be able to work slowly and therapeutically. For complex trauma, repeated trauma, and childhood trauma therapy is usually weekly or fortnightly for a year or more with a similar time-frame to psychotherapy.
What’s the investment?
The pricing of sessions depends on whether you request in person or online. Pricing starts from £100/session for online sessions.
Reports and summary letters are available upon request and charged at the standard rate of £100 per hour.
Please note that fees are subject to regular review and might increase during the duration of your therapy contract. Any increase will be communicated to you in advance.
How can this help me?

• Work through unprocessed emotions
• Complete incomplete stress responses
• Restore an optimal relationship to yourself and the world around you
Who is it for?

Physical symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, tightness in the body, muscle tension, digestion challenges, and constrictions around the breath.
Emotional symptoms such as flatness / inability to feel, fear, anxiety, panic, overwhelm, loss of choice, difficulty feeling comforted, anger, and shame.

Relational / Social symptoms such as isolation, loneliness, relational and attachment reenactments.

Please note this is not a therapy or intervention session, this is to get to know each other and so we can discuss if we would be a good fit for therapy. It’s very important that you work with someone you feel comfortable with, and it’s also important to me that you feel you have made the right choice for you. After our discovery session I offer online or in person sessions. Prices start from £100 per session, and payment plans are available.
I also offer packages which include unlimited access to my membership, my online courses, and other materials to support you in between sessions.
Low-cost appointments for people in financial difficulty are also an important part of my work - please ask if you need one of these.
