Healing from Within Retreat

Healing from Within Retreat

Friday 21st – Monday 24th November 2025

Lanehead, Lake Coniston, Lake District

A luxurious 4-day, 3-night retreat of deep nourishment, connection, and transformation.

Held by Dr. Sally Eccleston | Psychologist · Somatic Therapist · Yoga Teacher

The Invitation

As we approach the stillness of winter, you’re invited to step away from the demands of everyday life and return to yourself - body, mind, and soul.

Join us for a powerful, trauma-informed retreat centred around connection, embodiment, and ceremony. Over four days on the serene eastern shore of Coniston Water, you'll be held in a deeply supportive space to rest, restore, and reconnect with your inner strength and clarity.

This retreat is designed to help you move from stress, anxiety, or trauma toward a more grounded, fulfilled, and peaceful sense of self.

Led by Dr. Sally Eccleston

As a registered psychologist, somatic therapist, accredited life coach, and yoga teacher, I combine evidence-based practices with intuitive, body-centred approaches. My work is rooted in over a decade of experience in trauma recovery, mental health, women’s wellbeing, and embodied healing.

This retreat draws on tools from:

  • Psychology & life coaching

  • Yoga & somatics

  • Embodiment & nervous system regulation

  • Ceremony, reflection & intuitive practices

What to Expect

This immersive weekend offers a balance of group connection, personal reflection, guided practice, and free time to rest, reset, and remember who you are.

You’ll experience:

  • Somatic yoga & embodied movement

  • Breath-led practices & meditation

  • Restorative yoga, Yoga Nidra & embodied Yin

  • Mantra, music & sound

  • Circle work & guided inner inquiry

  • Fire ceremony & seasonal ritual

  • Journalling, rest & reflection

  • Wild water swimming & optional paddleboarding

You’ll be held in a space of compassion and safety - no experience needed, just a willingness to show up as you are.

Fabulous retreat in the most beautiful location. Sally’s classes and workshops always leave me feeling uplifted and with a sense of peace so to immerse myself in a weekend of practice with her and other like minded ladies was absolute heaven! Hugely recommend Sally’s retreats if you’re looking for peace, inner calm, friendship and amazing food ❤️

Everything about the retreat with Sally was special from start to finish. I had been on day retreats with Sally and love her Shake the Dust practice and how she planned those days and knew I’d feel very comfortable with her leading a weekend retreat.
This isn’t a classic yoga weekend, you’ll find yourself opening up, moving your body, sharing and leaving behind some worries and long held beliefs. This was a spiritual experience that left me feeling open and cleansed. You will chant, share cacao and dance like nobody is watching!
The setting was beautiful and the food exceptional - cooked with love by private vegan chef Jenny.
At the end of the weekend I felt light, liberated and joyful. I feel lucky to have made some new friends, some of us have met up since and will always have the bond of sharing a magical weekend together.

You’ll be embraced by our private country house venue, like a warm hug, with so much on offer, without having to leave the comfort of our surroundings, and an elevated position provides sensational views of the lake and high fells beyond, with the village of Coniston within walking distance.

This stunning and secluded location offers a range of different ensuite accommodation options, ranging from shared rooms with up to 4 people, twin / triple rooms to private doubles.

Our spacious rooms throughout the house provide ample opportunity to sit and read or just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Our Coniston venue is a short walk to Coniston waters, with footpath access. Guests can enjoy wild water swimming and a guided paddle boarding session provided by an external provider.

Everyone deserves to love and appreciate themselves enough to seek support and guidance on their own healing journey. You will be offered tools and knowledge from the trauma-informed practices of psychology, coaching and movement, diving into the layers of body, mind, heart, spirit and soul which are all inter-connected and where trauma and pain can be held for a long time before it is processed and released.

Giving yourself, and your nervous system, permission to first of all relax and rest, and then see what unfolds when you put your own health and wellbeing first, without pressure or expectation, in a safe and supportive environment.

 Why This Retreat?

This retreat is for you if you’re ready to:

  • Let go of old patterns that keep you stuck

  • Reconnect with your body, your intuition, and your joy

  • Experience community, compassion, and co-regulation

  • Create new habits of self-care and self-leadership

  • Pause and honour your inner cycles as you move into winter

We’ll explore the truth that trauma is not what happened to you, but what happens inside you - and how that experience can be transformed. Together, we’ll reclaim power, peace, and purpose through embodied practice and therapeutic support
