Tips to prevent burnout
Feeling burnout is real and can happen to all of us.
Burnout is when you reach a point of mental, emotional, and sometimes even physical exhaustion. It can occur when we have body disconnection. The body goes into survival mode.
You can find yourself feeling a number of ways.
• You feel constantly stressed
• Overwhelmed by your emotions.
• Feel a sense of emptiness inside.
• You feel out of touch with others.
• Lack of meaning or purpose.
• You consistently feel uncertain of yourself.
Having self-care practices (daily or weekly) can be great in helping us to connect with our bodies as well as reduce the likelihood of burnout.
Early signs of burnout can include a lowered immune system, insomnia/poor sleep habits, lacking focus, feeling tired, negative moods, and being unmotivated.
With the constant hustle mentality in society these days, as busy women, we can find ourselves feeling drained, exhausted, and on the verge of burnout. With so many commitments and responsibilities, we often feel disconnected from our bodies and ourselves.
